Robyn graduated from Queens University Belfast in 2011, having successfully completed an undergraduate degree in Environmental Planning (BSc) and a postgraduate degree in Urban and Rural Design (MSc). Robyn has been a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) since May 2017.
In 2013, Robyn moved to Bristol to commence her professional career in planning and has worked in both the Private and Public Sector environment with roles in Persimmon Homes (Graduate Planner), Wiltshire Council (Spatial Planner) and Barton Willmore (where she was Senior Planner).
Robyn has a varied wealth of experience from her time in Bristol. As a Graduate Planner in Persimmon Homes Wessex Office, Robyn was a member of the Land Team carrying out site searches and appraisals across a wide range of Local Authorities in order to identify new strategic land opportunities. Joining Wiltshire Council’s Planning Policy team in January 2015, Robyn gained invaluable Local Development Plan experience and was responsible for undertaking the site selection process, preparation of Sustainability Appraisal’s and drafting of Topic Papers for the Development Plan document. In addition to this, Robyn provided Link Officer support to a number of Neighbourhood Planning groups and was lead on managing the Neighbourhood Area Designation Consultations across Wiltshire.
Robyn’s most recent post was within Barton Willmore (Bristol Office). Robyn worked at Barton Willmore for over 3 years, and during this time gained a great deal of experience managing a large caseload of planning applications, preparing Area Plan Representations, Planning Appeal Statements of Case and presenting at Planning Committee.
Clearly a Derry girl at heart, Robyn returned home and joined TSA in January 2020, and we are delighted to benefit from the wealth of experience and new dynamic that Robyn brings to the team.
In her spare time, Robyn enjoys socialising with friends, has a keen interest in travelling, and recently went on a USA road trip along the Mississippi River which she would highly recommend.
