Proposed Home Bargains store, Clandeboye Retail Park, Bangor
Following the purchase of Clandeboye Retail Park by Threadneedle, which TSA had previously advised on, Threadneedle instructed TSA to take forward an application to vary a standard bulky goods restriction to facilitate a Home Bargains retail offering. A sequential assessment, detailed retail impact assessment and supporting statement were prepared. Support was garnered from the town centre manager for this out of town retail park given it’s high level of vacancy and planning was ultimately secured. Further applications for a number of coffee/restaurant pods were also secured and the retail park is now trading strongly with little vacancy remaining.
