A chartered planner and member of the institute of directors, Tom graduated from Queens University Belfast after completing the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Environmental and Town and Country Planning.  Having 18 years’ experience in planning consultancy, Tom previously worked as a Senior Planner for GVA Grimley and Principal Planner for Development Planning Partnership (DPP).  In 2007 Tom left DPP to set up his own independent planning consultancy, TSA Planning.  Tom heads up TSA Planning which today has grown to a strong team of 6.  Based in May Street in Belfast, Tom acts for a number of high profile clients and projects across the province and prides himself in providing a ‘professional, personal service’.With a wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge across all sectors of main stream planning, both urban and rural, across the province helps Tom add value to any work he carries out including planning appraisals, applications, appeals, inquiries, concept statements, environmental and retail impact assessments and general planning and development advice and due-diligence.  Tom combines expertise with a dynamic fresh approach tailored to each specific project with a focus on delivering results.  This success is evident in the growth experienced by the team and the number of repeat instructions from existing clients.Tom is well known for working long hours but outside of work enjoys city breaks (as long as there is wifi for emails…), Ulster and Irish rugby, food, and has been known to be seen frequently on a Friday night having a pint or two after a long week!
